Our first proper studio-recording as Madder Mortem. We were very young and unexperienced, if you ever get to listen to it I think you can hear that well. After finishing it we were extremely satisfied, but if you ask us now we don''t exactly think it''s the best of what''s around. However, we got what we aimed for with it. After sending copies to quite a few labels, Misanthropy wanted to sign us straight away.
I remember getting the message that we''d actually gotten a record-deal, it was huge, a dream came true! It was printed properly in 500 copies. It didn''t have the best artwork, tons of misspellings and the front cover is pure genious: a purple(madder) swirl, but it worked.
